Chlamydia

Collection 0223003: The destructive effect of Chlamydia infection on cells. Filmed in time lapse using false colour Phase Contrast Microscopy. Chlamydia grows within individual cells to create large cysts filled with new Chlamydia particles. Eventually the infected cells burst to release new Chalmydia to infect more cells. Eventually the tissue is destroyed.
